Prime Industrial Unit acquired at Capital Business Park, Cardiff
A prime industrial unit at Capital Business Park, Cardiff has been bought by a private investor represented by Smethurst Property Consultants. The building comprising 42,171 square feet is let in its entirety to HT Maddock & Son.
Daniel Smethurst commented, ” We are still witnessing good levels of demand for investment opportunities between £2-5 million though purchasers appear to be more quality-driven which is
why this property appealed to this particular client. Capital Business Park is arguably Cardiff’s premier industrial and distribution location with over half a million square feet of space and fifty
different occupiers.”
The vendor was Rombourne Limited, the Welsh property company, which have a portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties in both south Wales and the southwest of England. The property was acquired in 2016 with vacant possession and following the letting the purchaser’s subsequent offer met the vendor’s financial aspirations. This disposal was Rombourne’s second large transaction so far in 2018 following the acquisition of the former Avana Bakery site in Newport which consists of over 200,000 square feet of vacant industrial space on approximately 9 acres.
